Comfortable bed.Room (other than the train a couple of nights-see under negatives) was very quiet at night (I also ran the AC/Heater fan on continuous for some white noise to mask any random sounds). Relatives who were at the Hampton Inn down the block said the walls there were paper thin there. Neighbors in the next room complained when they were talking in conversational level voices. Downstairs neighbors complained every time they walked across the floor, and all this in early evening.
Negatives are that they (and all the chain motels) are located on the highway, near the train tracks. Even though I was in the farthest back room, you still hear train whistles at various times that sound like you are on the train tracks (although a couple hundred yards away). In a 5 night stay, only twice during the night while sleeping. Evenings and mornings after up aren't a bother, it's just being woken up in the middle of the night. Next negative, there were ants. They were very helpful in offering to either spray immediately (which they did, odorless), and then thoroughly clean/spray, etc. the next day. Second choice was they only had one room open (smelled of smoke, even though a non-smoking motel). Third choice, find me a room in another motel, which wasn't an option that late at night when I had to attend a memorial service the next morning. There some a couple 1/8 inch pieces of paper (confetti like) that were in the middle of the floor, that were the first three days, showing that they weren't vacuuming daily. No wonder there were ants, if someone left left crumbs from eating. Cable TV was out one evening (problem with provider) which was not their fault, but I received no discount for that. Very limited fresh fruit in the morning, even though I was there very shortly after they started serving, and there were never more than 2 to 4 people already there. No bananas the first three mornings (which I like on my oatmeal). Only yogurt choices were strawberry and blueberry. Looking online at popularity, they are in order: strawberry, vanilla, plain, and peach. While strawberry and blueberry are fine, I would have expected some variety of vanilla and peach, especially considering the national popularity. Since it was a non-smoking motel, it seemed people went and smoked right outside the back/side door entrance which was close to my room (and sitting at the picnic table you had to walk by to get to the door).

This place is super clean and the staff here are amazing, from the moment you arrive to when you leave. Checking in and checking out is a breeze. You can even check out late with no hassle. They don't charge you for wake-up calls or ironing services either. It's definitely my go-to spot in town! 🌟

Recently refurbished accommodation with attentive staff from check-in to check-out. The pool area is very clean too. Easy check-in. Clean facilities in general, unbeatable location on the pier. And just next door to the center of the building, La Junta from Colorado Springs and the grounds. Unique base for exploring La Junta.

The staff throughout our stay (check in-out, and breakfast staff) were friendly and helpful.

We stayed at a hotel in a peaceful location right on the quiet bay, parallel to the railroad tracks. The room was clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom and all necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even moving us to a quieter room upon request. The breakfast offered a decent selection of options and there was a Safeway conveniently located about a mile away.
There was an issue with ants in the room.

The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. The hotel is conveniently located near La Junta and has a "cost first" approach.
